Plastic solutions to plastic pollution

Our commitment to a more sustainable approach to plastic packaging begins with the transformation of our entire product range to ocean recycled or plant-based plastic – all 100% recyclable

Ocean Waste Plastic

We have worked closely with our partners to produce the most advanced ocean waste collection and recycling technology to produce the highest quality medical packaging.

Plant-based plastic

We’re looking to the future of sustainable plastic production, utilising a method that produces a carbon-negative plastic—meaning we can actually remove harmful CO2 from the planet’s atmosphere.

FSC Paper and Card

Every piece of paper or card that is produced and used by BetterYou is 100% guaranteed sustainable or from recycled stock – across every aspect of our business.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) mark is your guarantee that the paper you are holding comes from responsibly managed forests. FSC certified forest operations must meet demanding environmental, social and economic requirements, as confirmed by an independent inspection, such as the Soil Association. The FSC mark is your guarantee that paper comes from responsibly managed forests.

This is what makes the FSC system unique and ensures that forests are well-managed from the protection of indigenous people’s rights to the methods of felling trees. Only forests that meet these strict standards are given FSC certification and BetterYou only utilises paper and card allowed to carry the FSC label.

Palm-oil derivative free

As a brand, we have always been against the use of palm oil in our products due to the destructive nature of its harvesting, its contribution to climate change and habitat destruction—and can proudly say that we have always been palm oil free.

The extensive use of palm oil means that it is found in a growing number of cosmetic and food products consumed globally, often under an amended name or in the form of derivatives which do not need to be declared within ingredient listings. This makes it incredibly difficult to make informed purchasing decisions.

BetterYou guarantees that we investigate the origin of every ingredient we use ensuring that it has not been exposed to palm oil derivatives at any point in its life. We are delighted to say that we have been awarded the International Palm Oil Free Certificate for our work in this area.

Look out for the Palm-Oil Free logo on packs.

Planting Mangroves in Madagascar

We believe everyone should have the right to clean air. That's why we've teamed up with carbon busting specialists, Earthly, to support their reforestation project in Madagascar.

We've pledged to plant a tree for every Air Defence® sold to help absorb CO2 and protect the air we breathe - Fighting climate change, one mangrove tree at a time.

The Antarctic Quest

The Better Planet Project is a continuous effort, not only to reduce our impact on the environment, but to launch positive initiatives across environmental and social issues to ensure the potential for a better planet. That’s why, we are delighted to be supporting Antarctic Quest 21, an expedition that will undertake essential exploration activities crucial for predicting our planet’s future in the age of manmade climate change.

The core purpose of this expedition is to contribute to the scientific understanding of Antarctica’s solid Earth, ice, ocean, and atmosphere, and what recent and future environmental changes mean to every single one of us.

BetterYou is honoured to be a small part of this historic expedition that is destined to leave a legacy in scientific research and education, with endless benefit to the environment we live in.
