How Much Magnesium Per Day For Stress?

When you want to increase your mineral intake, to help encourage your magnesium and stress levels to balance, you need to adhere to nutrient reference value guidelines and safe upper limits.

According to the NHS, the amount of magnesium an adult (aged 19-64) needs per day is:

  • 300mg per day for men
  • 270mg per day for women

Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxant, and so taking large doses (above 400mg) orally can have a laxative effect.
