Social Media Manager banishes her bed-time stress thanks to magnesium

Zoe McGovern, a 28 year old Social Media Manager from London was left exhausted after months of struggling to get a decent night’s sleep until a colleague recommended trying magnesium.

Zoe’s story

“I have always found it difficult to get a good quality night’s sleep, especially when I am feeling the pressure in work or unwell.

“But for the past several months’, bad sleep has become a habit of mine. The less sleep I have, the more stressed about not getting a good night’s sleep I become, resulting in me having poor quality sleep. It’s a vicious circle!

“It has had a big impact on my concentration and the energy levels I have for recreational activities. When I have a bad night, it even disrupts my partners sleep.

“I was speaking to a colleague about my lack of sleep and how I was feeling exhausted. She recommended BetterYou MagnesiumOil. I have never used any products to try and help me sleep, so I couldn’t wait to try it.

“I now use the BetterYou MagnesiumOil Goodnight Spray every night before I go to bed, after a hot shower or bath. Someone also recommended I spray some on the bottom of my feet because they are one of the most absorbent areas of the body. I feel like the aroma of the essential oils combined with the magnesium, really do help me get a better night’s sleep.

“I no longer lie in bed for up to an hour waiting to fall asleep, and I am also finding that I don’t wake up during the night as often.”

According to a recent survey, around half of women across the UK are not getting enough sleep and don’t feel well rested when they wake up.

Lack of sleep can leave you feeling physically unwell, as well as stressed and anxious, with scientists believing that it can contribute to premature ageing as well as health issues such as heart disease.

The link between magnesium and sleep

Magnesium deficiency has been linked to many health issues including migraines, anxiety, depression and poor sleep. Magnesium is required in the production of melatonin, a chemical regulator for normalising sleep patterns. It is also an effective natural muscle relaxant, easing muscle tension and creating a calming effect across the entire body, allowing you to drift off in to a restful sleep.
