Sam Miller started athletics at the age of 11 and instantly fell in love with the thrill of training and competition. His dream as a young athlete was to represent Great Britain internationally with initial thoughts that this would be in the long jump. However, after a few seasons of injury, he switched his focus to the 100m.
After a breakthrough year in 2013, Sam moved from his hometown of Preston to train and study Human Biology at Loughborough University. With a great coaching setup and excellent facilities, Sam’s results started to improve drastically. In 2017, he switched his focus again to the 200m and all the hard work and persistence paid off. After 12 years, Sam achieved his dream when he was selected to represent Great Britain at the European Team Championships in Lille.
Last season, Sam unfortunately suffered stress fractures in both feet which haltered progress but after time recovering in a cast and with a little help from the Magnesium Bone Lotion, he is back running again.
Sam’s 2019 season has started with a call up to the England Team and he couldn’t be happier. He’s in the best shape of his life and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.
